For many pharmaceutical and (bio)medical applications the materials used in the formulation or device, are of main importance and often determine the final properties of the product. Material knowledge is one of the pillars of PMME and with this I help customers to select the best materials for their application(s). We know which commercial products are available and what the pro's and con's are. So, We can make a selection which material is most suitable.
Often new products have special properties and therefore demand new materials. To obtain such materials polymer blends with the correct properties can be made by extrusion. Another way can be by synthesis of the polymer or gel. PMME has experience wit different polymerization methods: classical polycondensations, thermal/radical, living, enzymatic or UV-curing polymerizations. Those polymerizations can be performed in cooperation with our knowledge partners.
This creates almost an unlimited number of possibilities to prepare a material with the desired properties. With this, we can bring new ways to our customers for making their products. What was thought impossible can now be done.
